A scintillating once-a-week, one-hour radio magazine about books originating live from the KMLB studios in Monroe The Book Report features the latest book releases, bestseller lists, and current events in the book world; highlights and reviews of books from all genres; interviews with writers, authors on tour, librarians, and readers, plus community-based stories with a book and reading focus. All this and more, served up with flair and panache by two ardent and witty book lovers extraordinaire.
Bright, lively, inviting two-of-a-kind hosts Monroe residents Pat Grant and Elisabeth Grant-Gibson, a dynamic multi-generational pair, host the show. Owners since 1993 of Windows a bookshop, a thriving community-centered independent bookstore, they’ve been college professors as well as teachers of literature, poetry, writing, and grammar in a variety of other educational settings. From workshops to little theater to publishing short stories to spinning vinyl and talk on AM and FM commercial stations, one or the other has done it and done it with considerable verve and zeal. Just tune in!
